India, April 17 -- After 295 days at sea, the world's largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), has surpassed the post-Vietnam war record for the longest deployment of an aircraft carrier. The 10-month deployment breached the previously set record by USS Abraham Lincoln, which was deployed in January 2020. 

The US Navy had stated that Lincoln, commissioned in November 1989, was the longest carrier that was deployed in the Cold War era for 290 days from July 2022 to May 2003 in the run-up to the Iraq invasion.
