India, Oct. 9 -- In a sweeping crackdown on high-tech employment practices, the US administration has suspended software giants Microsoft and Adobe, alongside several of the world's largest IT outsourcing firms, from the Permanent Labor Certification Program.
The federal intervention, announced by US Vice President JD Vance during a White House press briefing, bars the targeted corporations from sponsoring skilled foreign workers for permanent residency green cards through the expedited federal pipeline. Officials cited active federal investigations and alleged systemic abuse of immigration frameworks, arguing that major technology enterprises have systematically bypassed domestic talent pools in favour of foreign labour channels.
