India, July 24 -- US stock markets traded on a mixed note in early trading on Friday as investors attempted to recover from the previous session's sharp technology-led selloff. Market sentiment remained cautious as traders balanced encouraging corporate earnings against persistent concerns over inflation, elevated oil prices and rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

The rebound follows Thursday's steep decline, when the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped more than 500 points, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite recorded their biggest single-day losses since June 23 after investors reacted negatively to earnings from technology giants Tesla and Alphabet.
