India, Aug. 8 -- Wall Street enters the new trading week with a positive backdrop after U.S. stocks extended their gains on Friday, with the S&P 500 closing at another record high following a weaker-than-expected July jobs report. Investors will now turn their attention to inflation data, Federal Reserve policy expectations, Treasury yields, oil prices and corporate earnings.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite all finished higher on Friday, August 7. The S&P 500 gained 0.6% to close at 7,757.64, while the Dow rose 0.3% to 54,036.93 and the Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.3% to 26,690.62, according to AP.
