India, June 9 -- US School Shooting Latest Update: A teenager who survived the deadly school shooting at Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee, has filed a lawsuit against the company behind an AI-powered gun detection system, alleging that the technology failed to identify the handgun used in the January 2025 attack.
The lawsuit, filed in Davidson County, targets security technology firm Omnilert, whose artificial intelligence-based gun detection software had been installed across the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) surveillance network as part of a $1 million safety initiative approved in 2023.
