India, Aug. 28 -- US President Donald Trump called astronauts aboard the International Space Station from NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston on Friday, hours after awarding the Congressional Space Medal of Honor to the four-person Artemis II crew for their historic mission around the Moon earlier this year.

The call took place following a ceremony honouring NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, who completed a 10-day crewed mission around the Moon in April 2026, marking the first time humans had travelled beyond it in more than fifty years.
