India, Sept. 7 -- Carlos Alcaraz continued his impressive return to the US Open with a straight-sets victory over Tommy Paul on Sunday, reaching the quarterfinals without dropping a set in the fourth round. The defending champion produced another composed performance at Arthur Ashe Stadium, winning 6-4, 6-2, 6-4. Earlier in the day, world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka also advanced, defeating Taylor Townsend 6-4, 6-3. Both reigning US Open champions remain on course for another deep run at Flushing Meadows.
