India, Sept. 7 -- The US Open women's singles draw is beginning to take shape, with Aryna Sabalenka and American Taylor Townsend setting the tone in the opening fourth-round clash. Sabalenka, the top seed, came through a competitive encounter 6-4, 6-3, while Emma Navarro continued her strong run in New York by booking another quarterfinal appearance with a straight-sets win over Anna Kalinskaya.
