India, March 17 -- Iran's newly appointed Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei reportedly survived an Israeli missile strike by just seconds. According to a report citing leaked audio from an internal Iranian meeting, he had stepped out of the compound moments before the attack that killed his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The strike took place on February 28 as part of Operation Epic Fury, launched by Israel. It targeted the Tehran residence of the longtime Iranian leader, killing several senior officials and family members.
