India, April 27 -- President Donald Trump said Iran is free to call or come forward to negotiate an end to the ongoing US-Israel war with Tehran as American envoys abruptly cancelled a diplomatic trip to Pakistan and Iran's foreign minister continued a frantic shuttle across the region.

The blunt invitation came as hopes of a near-term peace settlement dimmed sharply, with no agreement reached on ending a conflict that has killed thousands, driven oil prices higher, and strained the global economy since U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran began on February 28.
