Escorted by Israeli forces, Ben-Gvir led successive groups of Israeli colonists into the holy site via the Moroccan Gate. During the incursion, he and his followers performed Talmudic rituals and prayers in the eastern section of the courtyards, defying the long-standing status quo agreement governing the site.
