India, May 22 -- US-Israel-Iran War Latest Update: A senior United Arab Emirates official has warned that the chances of a successful agreement between the United States and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz remain uncertain, saying the negotiations currently stand at only "50-50".

Speaking at the GLOBSEC Forum in Prague, UAE presidential adviser Anwar Gargash urged Tehran not to miscalculate its position during the ongoing diplomatic efforts linked to the Middle East conflict and the fragile ceasefire currently in place.

"Iranian officials have missed a lot of chances over the years because there's a tendency to overestimate their cards," Gargash said. "I hope they don't do that this time."
