India, April 8 -- Amid escalating violence in the Middle East, U.S. President Donald Trump has clarified that Lebanon is not included in the recently announced U.S.-Iran ceasefire, even as Israeli forces continue large-scale attacks on Lebanese territory. The statement has added uncertainty to the fragile truce and raised fears of further regional escalation. 

Trump Clarifies Scope of Ceasefire

In an interview with PBS News, Trump said that the two-week ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran does not extend to Lebanon, describing the Israel-Lebanon fighting as a "separate skirmish."
