India, Aug. 24 -- US Israel Iran War Latest News: The US-Iran confrontation is entering a new phase as Washington prepares a sweeping economic offensive against Tehran, while Iran has threatened to halt oil exports from the Persian Gulf if what it calls the US "economic war" continues.

The latest warning came from Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei. He said Iran could prevent oil from leaving the Persian Gulf, including through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, if Washington continues its economic pressure campaign.
