India, Sept. 28 -- US President Donald Trump has said the United States could end its war with Iran soon, while refusing to rule out the possibility of renewed military strikes before the upcoming US midterm elections. Speaking to Fox News, Trump said the conflict's end could bring global oil prices down significantly. He also reiterated that preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon remains the central objective of the US campaign.

"I think what's going to happen is we're going to win this war very soon," Trump said, adding that oil prices could fall sharply once the conflict ends.
