India, Oct. 16 -- US President Donald Trump has renewed his prediction that the conflict with Iran will end soon, arguing that Tehran's military capabilities have been severely weakened. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, however, has maintained that military pressure will not force the country to surrender.

Speaking to reporters in Montana, Trump said oil prices would fall sharply once the conflict ends. He also questioned which Iranian officials Washington was dealing with during discussions over a possible resolution.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump claimed that US strikes had destroyed Iran's naval capabilities and military aircraft. These assertions come amid continued uncertainty over the prospects for ending the conflict.
