India, Sept. 3 -- US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: The conflict between Iran and the United States has entered another tense phase after renewed US strikes on Iran and retaliatory Iranian attacks on American-linked targets across the Gulf. However, a former Austrian defence attache has assessed that neither Tehran nor Washington currently appears to have an intention to escalate the conflict into a much wider war.

Wolfgang Pusztai, former Austrian defence attache to Libya, told Al Jazeera that the United States has not eliminated Iran's military capabilities. He said both sides could still be pushed toward escalation if they suffer additional civilian or military casualties.
