US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: Middle East Oil Exports Surge to 22.5 Million BPD as Strait of Hormuz Traffic Recovers, Iran Vows to Keep Waterway Closed
India, Oct. 5 -- Crude oil shipments from the Middle East have shown signs of recovery despite continuing tensions around the Strait of Hormuz. Provisional data from ship-tracking company Kpler showed regional crude exports exceeded their pre-war average on four of the seven days during the final week of September.
Exports reached between 19.5 million and 22.5 million barrels per day (bpd) on September 24 and from September 27 to 29. Before the US-Israel war with Iran began, crude exports from the region averaged around 18 million bpd between March 2025 and February 2026.
