India, Sept. 16 -- The war between the United States and Iran has placed a significant financial burden on the Pentagon, with the Congressional Budget Office estimating that military operations cost around $38 billion during the first five months of the conflict. The estimate, which covers spending through August 1, includes the cost of weapons used in combat, damaged or destroyed equipment, additional military flights and higher fuel consumption.
