India, Oct. 20 -- US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: A new military claim from Tehran has put the Strait of Hormuz back in focus as tensions between Iran and the United States continue to threaten security around the vital shipping corridor. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Tuesday, October 20, that its air defence forces intercepted and destroyed a US MQ-9 drone over the strait using what it described as an advanced defence system.

Iranian media reported that the incident marked the 54th US military drone the IRGC claimed to have brought down. The claim has not been independently verified, and no immediate US confirmation was available in the reports reviewed.
