India, Sept. 24 -- Brent crude prices rose more than 2% on Thursday, September 24, as uncertainty over US-Iran diplomatic talks and the ongoing conflict continued to fuel concerns about global oil supplies.

Brent crude futures were up $2.32, or 2.25%, at $105.40 per barrel at 0803 GMT, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose $1.78, or 1.93%, to $93.94 a barrel, according to Reuters.

The latest rise in oil prices came as markets assessed the lack of clear progress in efforts to end the US-Iran conflict. Tehran is reviewing Washington's response to peace proposals that include reopening the Strait of Hormuz and lifting the US naval blockade on Iranian ports.
