India, Sept. 4 -- Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has unveiled a controversial proposal seeking to encourage the departure of around 1.86 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip over seven years. The plan, called "Disengagement 710," describes the proposed departures as "voluntary emigration" and has been presented as part of Ben-Gvir's political campaign ahead of Israel's upcoming elections.

The proposal has drawn international attention because of its scale and the humanitarian concerns surrounding the relocation of Gaza's population.
