India, Oct. 8 -- US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: With the US-Iran conflict continuing to shape security and energy concerns across the region, President Trump has now drawn a clear timeline for any possible fresh American military action. Trump said Thursday that the United States would not attack Iran before the November 3 midterm elections, while claiming Washington and Tehran are engaged in "productive discussion."

The statement comes as tensions remain high around the Strait of Hormuz and the US blockade of Iranian ports stays in place. Trump also said oil was still moving through the key waterway, while reiterating his warning that Iran would not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.
