India, Sept. 9 -- US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: A new dispute between Washington and Tehran has pushed the US-Iran conflict into another dangerous phase, with both sides giving sharply different accounts of what happened at sea. Iran's Revolutionary Guard says it launched ballistic missiles at two US Navy destroyers and inflicted significant damage, while the US military says neither ship was hit.

The latest claims came after a series of attacks around the Gulf and Gulf of Oman. Iran identified the two American warships as the USS Delbert D. Black (DDG-119) and USS John Paul Jones (DDG-53). The IRGC said it targeted the destroyers as part of an operation called "Ya Haidar Karrar".
