India, Sept. 3 -- The Iranian Red Crescent Society has formally petitioned the International Criminal Court to launch an immediate and impartial investigation into a devastating US missile strike that struck a family wedding celebration in southern Iran.

The military attack, which targeted a residential home in the coastal city of Kuhestak within Hormozgan province, resulted in the deaths of at least five civilians, including children, and left nearly seventy others severely wounded.

The escalation marks one of the most contentious and tragic civilian casualty incidents in the ongoing conflict between Washington and Tehran, drawing sharp denunciations from international humanitarian advocates and regional officials alike.
