India, June 21 -- The fragile interim peace between the United States and Iran has shattered, with Tehran declaring the vital Strait of Hormuz closed to vessel traffic unless the IDF skirmishes in Lebanon halt and the US reinstates the oil sanctions waiver.

Iran's Tasnim news agency, the official mouthpiece of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported on Sunday that the Strait of Hormuz will remain shuttered "indefinitely."
