India, June 22 -- President Donald Trump and Iran's chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf exchanged strong warnings as officials from both countries held their first round of direct talks in Switzerland following an initial agreement aimed at ending the ongoing conflict.

The talks came after Washington and Tehran reached a preliminary deal last week that included plans to finalize a broader agreement within 60 days. The framework also called for an end to fighting on "all fronts," including hostilities in Lebanon, and the reopening of the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
