India, July 5 -- : US President Donald Trump used his Independence Day speech to celebrate America's military strength, constitutional freedoms and national achievements while sharply criticizing communism. Speaking during the Salute to America event marking the 250th anniversary of US Independence, Trump described the United States as a beacon of liberty and warned against what he called ideological threats at home.

His address also focused on the US military, Second Amendment, Iran, Venezuela, economic progress and America's role on the global stage. The speech was delivered after weather-related delays at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
