India, Sept. 16 -- The world's financial markets face another significant decision from the US Federal Reserve to be made on Wednesday, September 16, which is highly anticipated by traders who expect a rate hike of 25 basis points. The probability of the 25-basis-point rate hike is estimated at 93% on the basis of pricing in interest-rate futures contracts, as shown by the CME FedWatch index mentioned in various media sources. In case of implementation of such a decision, the fed funds rate will rise to the level of 3.75%-4% and will become the first US interest rate increase after 2023.
