India, March 4 -- A shocking friendly fire incident has raised serious questions about coordination among allied forces in the Middle East. Reports now suggest that three US fighter jets were accidentally shot down by a Kuwaiti F-18 during intense combat operations over Kuwait.

The incident, described as a "blue-on-blue" episode, reportedly occurred on Monday when a Kuwaiti fighter pilot mistakenly launched three missiles at American aircraft during what officials called "active combat" conditions.

All three US jets, identified as F-15E Strike Eagles, went down over Kuwait. Fortunately, the crews ejected safely and survived.
