India, Oct. 30 -- The United States is expected to make new restrictions regarding Chinese telecom companies. The companies will not have access to American phone numbers due to national security concerns. The measures have been taken in order to improve the security in case of fraud or any abuse of the US telecom network.

According to a recent report by US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the votes for the proposal will be held on November 19, 2026, to deny access to US phone numbers to China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom and other IP enabled service providers. There is increasing concern in Washington DC regarding the security threats of American telecoms access to Chinese companies.
