India, April 5 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has facilitated the permanent resettlement of 381 Hindu families displaced from Bangladesh, distributing them across several villages in Lakhimpur Kheri district. Acting on directives from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the administration has integrated these families into rural communities, providing agricultural land and access to welfare schemes aimed at ensuring long-term stability.
According to district officials, the families have been settled across multiple tehshils. In Sujanpur village of Gola tehshil, 97 families have been rehabilitated.
