India, July 6 -- The UK is experiencing its third heatwave of 2026, with the Met Office forecasting temperatures of up to 34degC later this week, particularly across south-east England. While the upcoming hot spell is expected to be less humid than the intense heatwave seen in June, forecasters say it will last for several days and could still pose health risks to vulnerable people. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued a Yellow Heat-Health Alert, which came into effect on Saturday and will remain in place until 8:00 pm on July 11.
