India, Aug. 14 -- UK Weather Forecast (August 15): The UK is set for a sharp change in weather on Saturday, August 15, with rain and showers expected across parts of Scotland, England and Northern Ireland as the latest heatwave begins to ease. The Met Office says heavy showers and thunderstorms will clear, while southeastern England will remain very warm and humid.

The change follows the UK's hottest day of 2026 so far, when temperatures reached a provisional 38.1 degree celcius at Kew Gardens on Thursday. The latest forecast now points to a more mixed weekend, with northern Scotland retaining showers while many other areas see sunny spells.
