India, Oct. 2 -- UK Stock Market Forecast Today: It is expected that the UK stock market will register a slight technical bounce on October 2, 2026, as the FTSE 100 Index futures suggest a higher opening by about 0.3%, at around 10,463 points. This slight technical bounce comes after the biggest one-day crash seen since May, when the FTSE 100 Index fell 1.7% to close at 10,428.27 points. In spite of the slight anticipated bounce, investors are being very cautious because of macroeconomic issues that restrict further gains., following a massive loss in the FTSE 100 index on the previous trading day. On October 1, the FTSE 100 index fell by 1.68% and closed at 10,428.27 while FTSE 250 closed lower by 1.62% at 24,143.21.
