India, May 8 -- The United States government has started releasing long-classified UFO files to the public, opening a new chapter in one of the world's most debated mysteries. The Pentagon on Friday published the first batch of declassified records linked to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), commonly known as UFOs, after months of pressure for transparency from lawmakers and the Trump administration.

The newly released material includes government documents, military reports, photographs, videos and witness accounts collected over decades by agencies including the FBI, NASA, the Defence Department and the State Department. Officials confirmed that more files are expected to be released in phases over the coming weeks.
