India, April 25 -- A fresh cybersecurity scare has emerged after hackers claimed to have accessed sensitive data from Udemy, one of the world's largest online learning platforms. The hacking group ShinyHunters has alleged that it stole more than 1.4 million records and issued a warning to the company to respond before a deadline or risk public exposure of the data.
The group posted its claim on April 24, 2026, using its leak platform to threaten the release of the stolen information if the company fails to act before April 27. The situation remains under review, and officials have not yet confirmed whether the breach actually occurred.
