India, May 22 -- Twisha Sharma Death Case Latest Update: The Madhya Pradesh government has recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the death of Twisha Sharma, a case that has sparked outrage and renewed debate around dowry harassment in the state.

In an official statement released on Friday, the state Home Department confirmed that it has written to the Centre seeking transfer of the investigation to the CBI. The case relates to Twisha Sharma's death at Bag Mugalia Extension in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal on May 12.

Officials said the decision aims to ensure a transparent and impartial investigation after growing public pressure and demands from the victim's family for an independent inquiry.
