India, May 24 -- The last rites of Twisha Sharma were performed on Sunday evening at the Bhadbhada cremation ground in Bhopal. After nearly two weeks of intense courtroom arguments, public protests, and disputes over forensic reports, the 33-year-old model and actor was finally laid to rest.

Her body was handed over to the family after a second postmortem conducted by experts from AIIMS Delhi at AIIMS Bhopal. Soon after, relatives gathered for a final glimpse before the cremation. The atmosphere was filled with silence and sorrow as the body, wrapped in white and red cloth and placed on a bamboo bier, was taken towards the cremation ground.
