Tupac Shakur Murder Case Explained: Accused Keffe D Goes On Trial Nearly 30 Years Later, What Happened In 1996?
India, Aug. 12 -- Nearly 30 years after Tupac Shakur was shot in Las Vegas, the only man charged in connection with the rapper's death is finally facing trial. Duane "Keffe D" Davis, who has long been linked to the case, is accused of orchestrating the 1996 killing and providing the weapon used in the attack.
Jury selection in Davis' trial began on Monday, August 10. He faces one count of murder with a deadly weapon with prosecutors alleging that the crime was carried out to promote, further or assist a criminal gang. Davis has pleaded not guilty and has maintained his innocence.
