India, Aug. 2 -- US President Donald Trump said he is "losing faith" in Iran, accusing Tehran of repeatedly breaking its commitments even as negotiations over its nuclear programme continue.

Speaking during a Cabinet meeting at Camp David, Trump questioned Iran's credibility, saying its leaders frequently failed to honour their promises.

"They do lie, and they do misrepresent," Trump said. "They always want to talk, but they break their word so often."

Despite the criticism, Trump said senior US officials remained engaged in talks with Iranian representatives. He named Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Senior Adviser Jared Kushner, Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio as part of the US negotiating team.
