India, Sept. 18 -- New Blood has officially arrived on NBC with a two-hour premiere. The new season brings 22 civilian contestants to Alan Cumming's castle in Scotland, where they must figure out who among them is secretly working as a Traitor. Unlike previous U.S. seasons, the new edition features an entirely civilian cast. The contestants are competing for a prize pot of up to $250,000, with another major twist added to the format. Every time the Faithfuls successfully banish a Traitor, $15,000 is added to the prize pot.

The first two episodes wasted no time introducing the new rules. Two Traitors were selected, one contestant was murdered, another was banished and two Faithfuls were secretly recruited as potential accomplices.
