India, May 11 -- Tata Motors is readying up to launch the much-awaited Sierra EV in India later this month. The electric SUV could be positioned between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in the expanding lineup of Tata's EVs. The Sierra EV could play a crucial role in solidifying the marque's position in the Indian EV market as competition for the midsize electric SUV segment intensifies.

The EV will go head-to-head with the Hyundai Motor Company Creta Electric, Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara and the Mahindra & Mahindra BE 6. The SUV has already created a lot of buzz with its retro design, premium cabin prediction and potential long-range capability.
