India, Sept. 23 -- Vedaant Madhavan and Aneesh Sunil Kumar Gowda will return to the pool on September 23 as they compete in the men's 200m freestyle at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre.

For Vedaant, the race will be his second appearance at the Asian Games after making his senior continental debut in India's men's 4x200m freestyle relay. The Indian quartet of Vedaant, Sajan Prakash, Dhakshan Shashikumar and Aneesh Sunil Kumar Gowda clocked 7:24.32 in the heats and finished ninth, missing the final by 0.2 seconds. Vedaant will now get his first individual opportunity of the Games in the 200m freestyle.
