India, July 17 -- More than five decades after humanity's first Moon landing, Swatch and Omega have introduced a special timepiece that celebrates one of history's greatest achievements. Called the MoonSwatch Mission to the Moon 1969, the limited-edition watch pays tribute to the Apollo 11 mission with an 18K Moonshine Gold dial made from recycled Omega gold dating back to the 1960s and 1970s.

With only 1,969 pieces being produced worldwide, the watch will not be sold through regular stores. Instead, interested buyers must complete a special online application before getting a chance to purchase it.
