India, Aug. 13 -- August 14 is turning out to be a busy day at the movie, with Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2 arriving in theatres on the same day. While the two films belong to very different worlds, there is one name connecting them: Shabana Azmi.

The veteran actor has important roles in both films but the characters could not be more different. In Awarapan 2, she plays an antagonist opposite Emraan Hashmi, while Batwara 1947 sees her take on the role of an elderly woman caught in the upheaval of Partition.

Speaking to The Indian Express, Shabana opened up about getting such varied roles even at 75 and recalled a time when actors would regularly have several films releasing close to each other.
