India, Sept. 30 -- Sumit Nagal will look to continue his Asian Games 2026 campaign when he takes on Uzbekistan's Sergey Fomin in the men's singles third round in Aichi-Nagoya on Wednesday, September 30.

The Indian is ranked 249th in the world. He defeated South Korea's Seonchan Hong in the second round 6-4, 6-0.

Nagal's second-round match against Hong was interrupted by rain on Monday with the Indian leading 3-2 in the opening set. On resumption, Hong briefly moved ahead 4-3, but Nagal responded in style, winning nine consecutive games to complete a 6-4, 6-0 victory.
