India, April 18 -- Top seed Elena Rybakina survived a major scare to advance at the WTA Stuttgart Open 2026, while Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek crashed out in a dramatic quarterfinal day on Friday. Karolina Muchova stunned Gauff 6-3, 5-7, 6-3, and Mirra Andreeva continued her dominance over Swiatek with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 comeback win. Meanwhile, Rybakina edged past Leylah Fernandez 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-6 (6), saving a match point in a thrilling three-hour battle to reach the semifinals.
