Strategists against any Track 2 with Pakistan
India, June 28 -- According to serving and retired officials familiar with the process, any movement towards normalisation disproportionately benefits Pakistan.
While India and Pakistan have reportedly continued engaging through a series of Track 1.5 and Track 2 channels more than a year after Operation Sindoor, including the latest reported meeting in Colombo this month, sections of India's strategic establishment are questioning the rationale behind the process. They argue that Pakistan stands to gain substantially from any thaw in bilateral ties, while India's core security concerns remain unaddressed.
