India, March 29 -- The incidents of stone-pelting targeting trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, show no signs of abating. In fact, within just the last week, two separate incidents of stone-pelting have occurred on the Vande Bharat Express.

On March 26, 2026, the semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express, travelling from Gorakhpur to Patliputra, was pelted with stones while at the Bagaha station yard. Three individuals standing along the railway tracks suddenly began throwing stones at the train, which was halted at the outer signal.
